Commercial Moving for Lower Mainland Businesses

A residential move can be rescheduled if something goes wrong. A commercial move can't — your business has a lease start date, equipment that needs to be operational, and a team that needs to be back at work. ScriptForge approaches commercial relocations with that reality in mind.

We've handled commercial moves across the Lower Mainland for offices, restaurants, and community organisations. The jobs have ranged from clearing and moving standard office furniture to relocating food processing equipment from a restaurant and downsizing a church's AV equipment, pews, and storage. Each job was coordinated around the client's operating schedule.

Discuss Your Commercial Move

What Makes a Commercial Move Different

Three things set commercial moves apart from residential ones — timing, coordination, and the consequence of errors. A misplaced box in a home move is annoying. A misplaced server, a damaged piece of kitchen equipment, or desks set up in the wrong room means your business loses time it can't recover.

Timing: Most businesses can't shut down for a full weekday move. We offer after-hours and weekend scheduling specifically for commercial clients — start the move Friday evening, finish Saturday morning, open Monday as normal.

Coordination: Commercial loads don't sort themselves. Before we arrive, we agree on a labelling system with whoever is coordinating on your side — numbered zones, room codes, or department labels — so every item lands exactly where it's supposed to at the destination.

Heavy and specialty equipment: Offices have filing cabinets, boardroom tables, and server racks. Restaurants have stainless steel prep tables, commercial refrigeration, and processing equipment. We've moved both. The approach is different — proper equipment and crew size for the load, not the same setup we'd use for a one-bedroom apartment.

What We've Moved

Office Relocations

Workstations, monitors, ergonomic chairs, filing cabinets, boardroom tables, reception desks, and IT equipment for businesses across the Lower Mainland. We move the hardware — your team reconnects it.

Restaurant Equipment

Commercial kitchen moves including food processing equipment, stainless steel prep stations, refrigeration units, and restaurant furniture. Coordinated around service hours and health inspection requirements.

Community & Church Spaces

Downsizing and relocation of seating, AV equipment, staging, storage, and administrative furniture for community organisations and places of worship across the Lower Mainland.

Small Business Moves

Retail fixtures, shelving, display units, back-office equipment, and inventory storage. If your business is growing into a new space or rightsizing into a smaller one, we handle the physical move so you can handle the operational transition.

How a Commercial Move Works with ScriptForge

  1. Initial conversation: Tell us what you're moving, where to, and when your operation needs to be functional again. We ask about access, elevator requirements, loading dock availability, and any specialty items.
  2. Scheduling: We agree on a move window that works around your business — after-hours, weekend, or a phased move across multiple days for larger jobs.
  3. Labelling plan: Before move day, we agree on a system with your coordinator so every item has a destination label and nothing ends up in the wrong room.
  4. Move day: Crew arrives on time, works through the load methodically, and places everything according to the plan. We flag anything that looks damaged before it's moved so it's documented.
  5. Handoff: Once everything is placed, we do a walkthrough with you before we leave. If something isn't where it should be, we fix it on site.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you schedule a move after business hours or on weekends?

Yes. After-hours and weekend slots are available for commercial clients. Early morning starts, evening moves, and full weekend jobs are all options. We confirm availability when you reach out.

Do you reconnect IT or kitchen equipment after moving it?

We handle the physical relocation — safe disconnection, transport, and placement. Reconnection and commissioning of IT systems, kitchen appliances, or AV equipment is typically done by your team or a specialist. We coordinate with whoever is on site to make the placement straightforward for them.

How do you prevent items from ending up in the wrong place?

Before the move, we agree on a labelling system with your coordinator — room codes, department colours, or numbered zones. Every box and piece of furniture is labelled before it's loaded so the unload is organised rather than chaotic.

What size of commercial moves do you handle?

Our commercial experience is in small to medium-sized business moves — offices with up to 20–30 workstations, single-location restaurant equipment relocations, and community space clear-outs. For very large multi-floor corporate relocations, contact us and we'll be straightforward about whether it's the right fit.
